Healthcare Administrator
Duties and Responsibilities
Healthcare administrators are in charge of specific clinical departments or services. They work in clinics, nursing care facilities, or hospitals. They also travel to other facilities where they attend meetings and inspect satellite facilities.
Salary: $40,000 - $110,000
Education
In order to be a healthcare administrator you must have a high school diploma. You must also get a bachelor’s degree in health services administrations. It’s not required but it’s encouraged that you should get a master’s degree. This will increase your payroll and open up more job opportunities.

Histology Specialists
Duties and Responsibilities:
Histology Specialists include both Histologic Technicians and Histologists. Histologists are also referred to as Histotechnologists. Both histologic technicians and histologists prepare tissue samples that are used by physicians to determine if a patient has a disease, dysfunction, or malignancy.
Histology technicians and histologists prepare samples by using equipment to thinly slice tissue samples. They then mount the thin slices on microscope slides and use chemicals to stain them so important structures are visible.
Histologists perform more complex and advanced procedures than technicians and often also perform management functions.
Histology specialists work in hospital, veterinary, pharmacy, or research laboratories.
Average Salary:
$22,000 - $35,000 (Histologic technicians)
$30,000 - $50,000 (Histologists)
Educational Requirements:
Students should take the most challenging high school courses in science, math, and English.
To become a histologic technician, students must either earn an associate's degree in the field and complete a one year internship or complete a long-term training program in a histopathology lab. They must also pass a national examination.

What this quote is saying is that knowledge doesn’t make a person good. What makes a person good is his/her character. You could be the smartest person in the world but also be the biggest jerk ever. Just because you’re the smartest doesn’t mean you’re the best. A person will always be judged on his/her character not by the amount of knowledge they have.
Physical Therapist
Duties and Responsibilities
Physical therapists work with patients who are recovering from an accident. Physical therapists work with patients and try to improve their strength and mobility. They treat patients with exercise, light, heat, cold, water, electricity, ultrasounds, massage, etc. They work in hospitals, private offices, sports facilities, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, etc.
Salary: $72,000
Education
In order to be a physical therapist you must have a high school diploma and a bachelor’s degree. A master’s degree and two to four years of professional education is also required.

I would like to be a physical therapist because it seems like a pretty good job which pays a lot.

Health Information Specialists
Duties and Responsibilities:
Health Information Specialists obtain, post, and analyze medical, workload, finance, and insurance data.  They ensure that this information is properly recorded into medical records so practitioners can plan and evaluate health care provided to patients.
There are a variety of job specialties within this field including Registered Record Administrators, Accredited Record Technicians, and Certified Coding Specialists.  Administrators coordinate the various information management responsibilities and supervise record technicians and coding specialists.  Record technicians ensure medical records are accurate, coordinate reimbursement, and maintain disease registries for research.  Coding specialists assign and post correct diagnosis and procedure codes to records and report codes to insurance companies.
Health information specialists work in hospitals, clinics, insurance companies, physician offices, and many other medical settings.
Average Salary:   
1.         $20,000 - $25,000 (Coding Specialists) 
2.       $23,000 - $30,000 (Record Technicians) 
3.       $30,000 - $40,000 (Record Administrators)
Educational Requirements:
Students should take high school courses in business, information management, science, math, and English.
Coding specialists must have a high school diploma or GED certificate.  Training is usually conducted on the job, but classes are offered at technical schools and community colleges.  To become certified, specialists must pass an examination.
Accredited record technicians must earn an associate's degree from an accredited college program or from the American Health Information Management
Record administrators must complete a bachelor's degree program in the field and pass a certification examination.

Duties and Responsibilities
Health educators provide information on health and health related issues. They can assess health training needs and plan health education programs. They may specialize according to specific health concerns, illnesses, or work or training setting. Health educators may work as independent consultants or in health departments, community organizations, businesses, hospitals, schools, or government agencies. Health educators often:
·        Perform health training needs assessments
·        Design and develop health education programs.
·        Publish health education curriculum.
·        Teach health in public and private schools.
Average Salary: $20,000 - $35,000
Educational Requirements
Students should take college preparatory courses during high school.
Health educators have, as a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in health education. Many have master’s degrees. To be certified or licensed to teach health in public schools requires a master’s degree and successful completion of a written exam in many states.

Genetic  Counselor
Duties and Responsibilities: A genetic counselor informs patients on how genetics have affected their life. A genetic counselor can also inform a family on their heritage and how their heredity can affect their lives. A genetic counselor will also tell you which diseases you are at risk of getting based on your family history. The National Society of Genetic Counselors officially defines genetic counseling as the understanding and adaptation to the medical, psychological and familial implications of genetic contributions to disease. This process integrates:
·        Interpretation of family and medical histories to assess the chance of disease occurrence or recurrence.
·        Education about inheritance, testing, management, prevention, resources
·        Counseling to promote informed choices and adaptation to the risk or condition.
Salary: $49,000-$64,000
Education: A master’s degree in genetic counseling is required to become a genetic counselor. Prior volunteer work is encouraged to have before you begin getting your masters.
